This is my first, and feeblest, attempt at a blog. A month ago I didn't know what a blog was. Two months ago I'd never even heard of a blog. Three months ago was August.

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. It's been a busy week and there hasn't been much in the way of interesting news. This article is pretty interesting, though. Thanks to David (only he knows which David, hehe) for sending this to me.

Jim's blog speaking, here. Now that he's gone back to bed I just wanted to say, "DOES ANYBODY OUT THERE READ ME?!" Seriously, people, I'm feeling a bit lonely here. I went into hibernation when Jim stopped posting for 2 WHOLE YEARS! Now that he woke me from my slumber I'm hoping at least one person will actually read me once in a while. The only problem is I don't know if anyone reads me unless they comment on a post. So if you do read me, please comment on at least one post. Pleeeeeaaaaaassse?
Well, we went to the OB for Missy's 4-week check-up and were surprised when Dr. Cacciatore (no, his first name is not "Chicken") wheeled in their cool, portable sonogram machine. We actually got to watch, in real-time, the 12-week-old fetus's heart beating right there on the screen. Very cool!!! He printed some really good pictures of the little guy/girl, too. As soon as I get it scanned I will post here and let you all know! I'll also be uploading it to our Flickr account.

Want to know more about the iPhone? Subscribe to The Apple Phone Show, a great podcast by Scott Bourne with news, tips and tricks all about the iPhone. Who knows, maybe I'll even win one and be able to give you all a personal review! I have played with one briefly and I was completely blown away. The touch control alone is amazing to use. Google Maps is so much better on the iPhone than any other phone (especially on Wi-Fi). The photo and iPod features are also truly amazing, especially with the iPhone's bright, beautiful display.

Hello? Is there anybody out there? For those of you so bored that you're still checking my long un-updated blog, here's something new for you to read! I appologize for the long gap of nothingness, although maybe this has helped people move on to do better things with their time than read my blog. I have been house-dog-and-cat sitting all month for my grandparents, who have been vacationing in sunny California, or as their governor calls it, "Kaleefornya." I just got a new cell phone, a Sony Ericsson T610 with T-Mobile service. It's really cool, mostly cause it has a camera built-in, and also cause I'll end up making $125 on the phone after rebates from T-Mobile and Amazon.com. If you're in the market for a new cell phone and a new service provider, check out some of the amazing deals at Amazon.com. A lot of phones you can get free, after rebates, and others, like mine, you can end up making money on, after rebates. It also has bluetooth built-in, and Amazon was offering $30 off a bluetooth headset with purchase of the phone, so I got one of those, too, a Jabra FreeSpeak BT200. I've tried it out a few times and it works wonderfully!
Anywho, so now that I have a camera-phone I've set up a moblog (MObile-weB-LOG) with TextAmerica, so you can check that out at http://jimblog.textamerica.com/
Well, that should take care of my blogging quota for the next couple of months.
JUST KIDDING! :-)
Seriously, I'll try to start posting thoughts and funny links, quotes, etc. more regularly again. So stay tuned, we'll be right back after these commercial messages!
