Ok, I get that Yahoo! is struggling financially and strategically, and Microsoft is desperate to catch up with Google, but Icahn et al need to realize that this merger is a terrible idea for both companies. Microsoft would ruin everything good at Yahoo! much the way G4 ruined TechTV. Both companies need more focus, and both have completely different philosophies and corporate climates, so a merger of the two would only hurt them, not help them.
